![]() ![]() You mention drag-and-drop, which is a concern, but also confusion where if they just use the file>open menu and start browsing around the desktop and get confused when it's not actually their local desktop. RemoteApp is also frustrating for users when the software needs to save or open their files. It's not a sage-specific problem but one that Sage seems really susceptible to having due to all the windows it opens up during normal workflows. There's also problems where the user opens Desktop and then tries to open a module but remoteapp wiggs out or something and the module actually opens up behind desktop but without it's own separate window - if that makes sense. You mention a lot of reason related to how the software interacts with other software. I've never seen Sage 300 play nice as a remoteapp, even when on the same local network. The end users for this particular client are very much against noticeable changes in workflow and hate downtime. We could move all the end users to thin clients but that'd be a whole different conversation and besides it'd be a fairly big investment. This doesn't seem possible if we were to do RemoteApp. (**Biggest concern if we go with RemoteApp**) We have some end users that drag invoices from within the Outlook client on their local workstation into Paperless. We could setup terminal servers for RemoteApp but what are y'all experiences on situations where an end user is in Paperless or 300CRE and opens say an invoice or document? I assume we'd need a PDF reader and Office installed on the terminal server?.Of course it's not recommended to run over any VPN or WAN connection BUT we are running a multihomed DIA at the DC and DIA at the client site with a 10ms RTT, though too little bandwidth pipe?.Goal: We'd like to look into the idea of moving their servers into our datacenter so we can increase revenue (rather than a lot of their server replacement costs going to the server vendor) and in return the client is on a fully redundant setup from power, compute, storage, etc. Their setup consists of on-prem servers + workstations with the client software installed and a 250mbps DIA uplink to the world. Current Situation: We have a client that utilizes 300CRE and Paperless. ![]()
